The Future Libraries Festival in Flitwick kicks off at 7.30pm on Friday 16 October with a Comedy Night and the launch of the Flitwick Joke book.

Bedfordshire comic Simon Munnery is bringing his ‘And Nothing But’ show, hot from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and Eamonn Fleming will be completing a night of comedy. Tickets are free but booking is essential.

The Cocktail Caravan

The cocktail caravan will be serving  a selection of craft beers and a unique, specially formulated Flitwick Cocktail .

The Flitwick Joke Book Launch

A compilation of jokes that were bought from Flitwick residents for 10p a time will launch at Flitwick Comedy Night on the first night of Future Libraries Festival Flitwick

The Future Libraries Festival Flitwick is a three-day event taking place at Flitwick Library from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October 2015.

It is part of an ambitious art project commissioned by Central Bedfordshire Council’s libraries, in partnership with Bedford Creative Arts and funded by Arts Council England. Involving eight artists, it invites us to imagine what the library of the future could look like.

    What a wonderful sounding event- especially in such a small town where very little happens. Shame that we won’t be able to support it as a family because of the 16 age restriction.
