It’s definitely getting chilly. Hat season is, quite literally, almost upon us. If you’re looking for something a little bit different for your child – or you – look no further than hip-hatter Saana, a talented seamstress hailing from Finland. Now living in Bedford with her husband and young son, she has created a line of fully-lined hats from stretchy cotton fabric, all in gorgeous Scandinavian-style prints. The hats range in price from £11-£14 and are a great alternative to woolly or fleece hats for kids with sensitive skin. Or children who just refuse to wear anything remotely itchy. Saana makes the hats to order, so you can give her measurements to ensure the hat fits perfectly.
Saana sources much of her fabric from Finland, and as well as hats, makes dresses, bags and lots of other goodies from recycled fabric.
