Team Clanger love half term especially when there are loads of activities to choose from and here in Bedford and surrounding we are truly spoilt for choice!
We have rounded up lots of fun ideas to entertain your little ones (and you!) this half term! Some of these have a cost however alot are FREE!

Activities all week, story time (Wednesday 26th at 3pm) and a competition – design a witches hat for Winnie and the 5 best designs will receive a free Winnie the Witch Tote Bag. The winners will be called on Sunday 30th.
The Higgins, Bedford
The Higgins Bedford holds family join-in activities during school holidays. The sessions last for about an hour and cost £2.70 per participating child. Sessions start at 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm.
All children to be accompanied by an adult. No booking required. Sessions are designed for children that are age 3 and above. Children below 3 are welcome, though they may need a little more grown-up assistance with the activities.

Mask Masters – Craft a scary face inspired by creepy crawlies and beastly bugs.
Wednesday 26th October
Weird Wednesday – Something strange will be going on – games to play and fun to be had. Come dressed up in your weirdest monster outfit.
Friday 28th October
Mown and Grown – Create your own monster and bring it to life, just like Dr Frankenstein!

The Funny Thing About….
A stand-up show for children over 6, their parents and anyone who likes comedy without the rude words
Hold on to your socks, take the banana out of your ears and enjoy the best comedy for kids from the man who invented it.
James Campbell also writes the hilarious Boyface books; has appeared on TV programmes such as Blue Peter and has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, on Broadway and the West End and even a tiny tent on the back of a hamster.
James’ show will find The Funny Things about everything including pets, couscous, spaniels, making your own yoghurt, bees, why we have hair and will answer questions such as:
Do Sausage Dogs eat sausages or do they just look at them and say, “I’m not eating that – it looks like my grannie.”
This show might include stories of lollipop ladies, giant catapults, and some of the worst drawings in the world including this terrible picture of a Labrador that looks more like Darth Vader.
Ready, Steady, Roll present Pop Up Board Game Cafe

Ghosts, Ghouls and Goings On at Wrest Park

Grab your cloaks and steady your nerves as your little horrors scare themselves silly this Halloween. Mysterious goings-on await you at petrifying Wrest Park. Meet our gruesome guides as they take you on a journey into the puzzling past – use all your wits to solve the riddles and claim your terrifying treat. Have a go at our creepy crafts and try your hand at carving your very own petrifying pumpkin to take away.

Roxton Tots is an independently run group at Roxton Village Hall near Bedford and they want a regular session for younger children and generally more for young people to do in the area. The funds for the event are going towards doing just that.
