John Bunyan Museum announces extended opening dates

This year John Bunyan Museum will be staying open until Saturday 11th November, to coincide with the museum’s exhibition ‘Pride Inspiration Hope’.  Also, following the success of last year, the John Bunyan Museum will again be open on Saturdays during the winter. Although closed during the week from the 11th November, the museum will be staying open for Saturdays in November, part of January, and all of February.

The museum will be open 11am-4pm Saturday 18th, and 25th November, closed all of December, and open again (on Saturdays only 11am-4pm) from 6th January until the 10th February.

From Tuesday 13th February we will fully re-open 11am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Special dates are Bunyan Meeting’s Christmas fayre on Saturday 11th November and Bedfordshire Day on Saturday 25th November.

Curator, Nicola Sherhod said, “The museum has had a great year, and we are really pleased that we can again open on Saturdays during the winter – so visitors, especially those from further afield, no-longer need to come back in the spring!”

The exhibition ‘Pride Inspiration Hope’, part of the Heritage Lottery Funded project ‘The Journey from Bunyan to the Brickworks’ will be on display in the Basement at Bunyan from Tuesday 24th October to Saturday 4th November.  The Museum will fully reopen on Tuesday 14th February 2017, and continue to open Tuesday to Saturday 11.00am- 4.00pm until October (Closed Good Friday) and admission is free.
