On Sunday 12 August, Bedfordshire Royal British Legion is hosting a Poppy Walk for Honour in Bedford Priory Country Park and everyone’s invited to take part. Registration is from 11am at the Priory Country Park café and you can either pre-book your place or register on the day. There are two walks to choose from: a family-friendly 2km route or 10km stroll around some of the area’s most scenic sites. The event is in aid of the Poppy Appeal. This year marks the centenary of the end of the First World War and the Royal British Legion will be saying thank you to all that served, sacrificed and changed our world. Funds raised will continue to support services that assisnt the serving and ex-service community.
The 2km walk is both wheelchair and buggy friendly, while the 10km walk is a chance to stretch your legs and enjoy the beautiful Bedfordshire scenery with friends and family while raising money for a good cause. It costs just £8 for adults and £5 for under 12s. For registration info go to: bedspoppywalkforhonour.co.uk
