About:

Pick of Bedfringe Winners 2017

A funny and moving new play written by autistic writer and poet, Rhi Lloyd-Williams. The Duck is an exploration of one woman’s world after she is diagnosed with autism.

Imagine you are the ugly duckling who instead of finding your place in the world as a swan, built a duck-mask and learnt to waddle. Imagine living a lifetime trying to fit into a space that does not fit, trying to move in ways that do not suit, trying to ignore your senses because other people don’t feel things the way you do. Imagine that somewhere along the way you fell utterly in love with the patterns that other people make, but that you don’t share.

Imagine for a brief moment that you are The Duck.

Starring Lucy Theobald and Directed by Jo Loyn, this is an unmissable performance.

On at The Quarry Theatre 4.30pm as a part of Bedfringe
